“The only normal people are the ones you don’t know very well.”

- Alfred Adler

Stress, illness, social and emotional withdrawal, depression, and anxiety often are the result of suppressing painful experiences from our past, and struggling to cope with, or denying, the challenges of our present. Exploring the intersection of personal history & family/generational patterns, with environmental & cultural context is essential to understanding the full breadth of your experience.

Therapy is not about turning you into a new person. It's about accessing the strengths you already possess, feeling those big feelings, and learning how to integrate your experiences — particularly the traumatic ones — into living as your most authentic self.

Adults & Teens

Therapy is a space that is organized around YOU! Some of the goals of our work together will be: learning how to manage stressors, increase self-acceptance, grow compassion, effectively communicate boundaries, needs and emotions, become more embodied, and develop tools to weather life’s most difficult challenges.

Intimate Partners

It can be intimidating to start couples therapy with your intimate partner(s) - some folks may imagine that a partnership has to be “broken” or “damaged” in order to go to couples therapy. Truth is, any relationship, in any state, can benefit from this type of work! Whether we’re increasing intimacy & connection, learning more effective communication skills &/or resolving conflicts - it’s all in service of deepening trust, safety & satisfaction in your relationship.

Somatic Work

In our practice we utilize the trauma modalities of EMDR, Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy and the Trauma Resource Method (TRM). We can get so disconnected from our body as a response to trauma but the nervous system gives us SO much information about what is happening for us, in any given moment. Somatic work deepens your ability to encounter & process traumatic experiences by providing a safe frame, as well as provide an ever-present tool for self-care & stress management.
