Allison Mills, AMFT

Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist #132901 (she/they)
Supervised by Kathleen Carlin, LMFT #99789

Starting a new relationship is a big step. And one of the most important steps in seeking therapy is finding a therapist that can build connection and space for healing. I aim to co-create an attuned, safe, and collaborative relationship. Where we go in your therapeutic journey centers around your goals and individuality, honoring the diversity of all your intersectional identities. Together, we can explore problem narratives, relationship patterns, oppressions/normativity that may impact you, and mind-body connections with warmth, curiosity, and compassion. My hope is to accompany you through the [re]discovery of your inherent resilience to pursue growth that enables you to live authentically and explore new possibilities.

I enjoy working with individuals and couples from all walks of life, including many who express themselves creatively through art, dance, music and acting. I specialize in working affirmatively and sex-positively with LGBTQIA+ people exploring their sexuality, gender, and relationship-expansive (kink, poly, CNM) identities. I am passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ people navigating parenthood, with a special interest in supporting non-gestational/non-biological and trans/non-binary parents.

My relational approach integrates psychodynamic, feminist, narrative, and somatic therapies. I hope to support you in your journey and invite you to reach out to see if you would like to work together.
